PuG is not a dirty word.Posted by LumidroodJuly 16, 2010 at 12:23 am
Tonight, 17 members of AW plus 8 of our constant friends from guild halls far, far away, marched into ICC and -finally- put to rest Proefessor Putricide. Gratz to all and many thanks for your hard word, dedication, and more than a few wipes.
Ruby Sanctum Safe No MorePosted by LumidroodJuly 6, 2010 at 11:13 pm
Tonight, hungry for new challenges, our band of intrepid heroes sauntered in to the Ruby Sanctum and, despite Halion's horrid halitosis, Laser Beams of pew-pew, and mystrious mushroom-shaped bruises on Cake, we stuck with it, stayed corporeal, and downed the purple beast.
Grats to all!
Heroic Lower SpirePosted by LumidroodJune 28, 2010 at 12:25 am Tonight, AW once again locked sword and spell with the denizens of the Ice Crown Citadel. This time, however, things were different. Marrowgar, once little more than an afterthought, confronted our brave heroes with more fire, more twirl, and yes, more spikes. Still, they persevered and were able to finally defeat this cretin on Hardmode. KingslayersPosted by LumidroodMay 31, 2010 at 12:22 am![]() Arthas is no more! After weeks of learning the dance and over 50 attempts, AW launched an assault on the LK tonight and killed him In less than 90 minutes. This is a proud moment for this small guild of friends. We are not hard core raiders, but we've always dedicated ourselves to being the best raiders possible. While not on the cutting edge of content, AW has spent all of Wrath working its way through the challenges Blizz has sent at it. Whether it be Yogg, ToGC, and now ICC, we have resolved to clear content and in every case, succeeded. As guild and raid leader, I'm proud of everyone in this guild that believes you don't have to be big to be awesome Congrats go out to the following: Ao Narcissus Peptoedeux Emberlee Luvalot Bronkos Lumidrood Grapeapeii Knightwing Caelik Somedays you get the bear. . .Posted by LumidroodMay 17, 2010 at 12:58 am
and somedays, the bear gets you.
Actually, this is not an update on our big-bear-butted friends, but just a simply a primer on what we've been up to lately. First, we've expanded some. Big welcome to some our newest members, Lunaii and Evildiss. Second, our 10-man Progression team has been working hard on Mr. Arthas the last few weeks. Despite our best efforts, however, we've been unable to show that beast the final end. Fear, not, however. Our determination to rid Azeroth of his evil taint has never been stronger and we will remain diligent in our dodging of both Valks and Defiles until his corpse is nothing more than a cold memory. Third, we've been mixing up our 'usual' raid schedule with some 25-man groups (staffed by AW members and other able puggers). I'm pleased to say that these runs have been smooth sailing through the lower spire, though for whatever reason, the sight of Festergut's mishapen eye seems to strike fear into the heart of your average pugger. Nevertheless, we press on and find joy in the ilvl 264 gear. And finally, our officers will be meeting on Monday to come to consensus on how raiding will be conducted in the future and will look toward the future and Cataclysm. Stay tuned. What do you get when you combine sin, a dragon, and a 2-pack a cig habit? Sindragosa. For two weeks her raspy rasp taunted us while she turned our magic against us and froze our breathless heroes in dark, icy tombs. And then, tonight, Mr. Lich King's new main squeeze (really, Arthas? Have you not seen Jaina lately? hawt.) slumped to the cold floor, dead and raspy no more.
And now, with nothing in our way, we've marched into the Lich King's inner sanctum and sucessfully learned the fine art of passing the plauge. Next week? While the fight will no doubt test our patience and push the limits of our skill, we will overcome the greatest evil Azeroth has ever known (until Cataclysm, at least).
Dream a little DreamPosted by LumidroodMarch 29, 2010 at 12:23 am
Knock, knock, knock. . .you hear that Arthas? That's right. . .it's no simple nightmare. It's AW working their way through your pathetic generals one by one and now, preventing you from making another. Last night, 9 heroes and a former light-bright bulb went toe to toe with wave after wave of poorly constructed abomination while our hero, Luvalot, boldly navigated the Emerald Dream, successfully running face first into numerous orbs and coming out with 100k+ Holy Lights. From there, we boldy marched in Sindragos'a lair, making quick work of Rimefange and Spinestalker before going toe-to-frost tomb with the Ice Queen herself. While her icy wiles momentarily imepeded our march to Arthas, next week we shall return refreshed and ready for blood.
AW Quells QueenPosted by LumidroodMarch 15, 2010 at 12:38 am
So, sometimes you come across women in your life that just want to kill you. And other times you come accross women who want to make you better. Blood Queen Lana'thel is the kind of woman who wants to do both and wants you to like it. While this humble reporter cannot say with certainty that Grape and Cake didn't enjoy their little love-bites, I am pleased to announce that like Great Odysseus we were able to overcome the Siren's song and triumph once more. An attempt to get a comment from Knightwing was made, but he was apparently suffering from a mouthful of Bronko's fur. We will not speculate here as to why. . .
Congrats all!
